Welcome To The US-German Internship Program

Mission Statement

AmCham Germany and BridgehouseLaw have created the Internship Program to enable American students to spend in early stages of their life valuable time in Germany, therefore we believe that Internships for American students are one of the best ways to create young ambassadors going home to the United States and bringing a different dimension in their next phase of life. The Internship Program offers students the opportunity to become acquired with German culture through a three-month (mid-May through mid-August) internship with host companies. Daily business interactions with leading international firms enable students to gain insights into the German economy, hone their German language skills and engage with cross-cultural challenges.

The program is designed to make sure that all students will return home from Germany with an expanded self-confidence and a clear understanding of Germany in Europe and the world that enables them to pursue dreams they would otherwise not think possible. We are focusing only on students inside America who participate to gain early in life the international experience because we know that students from the United States are not always so easy to get for such a program as students from abroad who are coming in big numbers to the United States. Everyone they come into contact with, both abroad and after they return home, benefits from the complex new perspective that an exchange student can share. They are becoming true ambassadors for our growing international world and become acquainted with German culture in Europe through daily interaction with their host company. The new platform provides the students with ample opportunities to gain insight into the World’s economy, improve their German language skills, and enjoy cultural challenges.

The US German internship program is a not for profit organization registered with the State of Georgia as a charitable organization under the name AmCham BridgehouseLaw Internship Program, Inc. 1170 Peachtree Street N.E., Suite 1775, Atlanta, GA, 30309. This program is sponsored by AmCham Germany and BridgehouseLaw for the purpose of providing educational internships to US based university students abroad.
